SaintNorbert School CARES Program
Children Are Receiving Extended Services Program
St. Norbert School provides various extended day programs for members of the school community from Pre-K through 8th grade.
St. Norbert’s recognizes that parents are the primary care givers of the children and works to assist in this responsibility by providing a variety of experiences for our children needing extended care.Recreation, games and craft projects are planned weekly.A snack and drink are given each day.Teachers also supervise homework assignments.The teachers monitor, but parents are responsible for checking and studying with their child.
Pre - K CARES
11:30AM to 2:30PM
$25.00 Registration fee per family
$17.50 per day for registered families
$25.00 per day for non-registered families
20% discount for 2 or more children registered in the program
If a child is not picked up by 2:30, they will be placed in the After School CARES program for an additional charge
Pre – K CARES will be available on days with a two hour delay
After School CARES Rates
3:00PM to 6:00PM
$25.00 Registration fee per family
$17.50 per day for registered families
$25.00 per day for non-registered families
20% discount for 2 or more children registered in the program
$10.00 early pick up (child MUST be picked up before 4:00PM)
A late fee of $5.00 for every 5 minutes will be charged for any child who is not picked up by 6:00PM
A typical day at CARES is as follows:
Pre - K 11:30 to 2:30
11:30 to 12:00 Play time
12:00 to 12:15 Clean up and Bathroom Break
12:15 to 1:00 Lunch (brought from home)/Recess
1:00 to 1:15 Storytime and Bathroom break
1:15 to 1:45 Rest/Nap time
1:45 to 2:00 Snack (school provides)
2:00 to 2:20 Arts/Crafts/Play
2:20 to 2:30 Clean up and pack up to go home
Parents need to come into the classroom and sign out their child for the day. Children not picked up by 2:45 will be taken to the after school CARES program located on the second floor of the school.
After School CARES 3:00 to 6:00
3:00 to 3:15 Bathroom Break and Attendance
3:15 to 4:00 Outside play or Gym (weather permitting)
4:00 to 4:30 Bathroom Break and Snack
4:30 to 5:00 Supervised Homework (Please remember that it is the parent's responsibility to check their child's homework)
5:00 to 5:40 Inside play, board games, lego, dolls, movies
5:40 to 5:50 Clean up
5:50 to 6:00 Children who are still waiting for their parents will be downstairs in the Office area for pick up by 6:00PM
Reminder that CARES is NOT available on half days, in-service days or days when school closes early for bad weather.
