Extend the Day With After-School Fun

Now that school is fully back in swing, many of our students are enjoying extra-curricular activities that extend their learning and fun past the final bell.

For those in grades four and above interested in music, St. Norbert’s has highly-regarded Select Choir and Instrumental Band groups. Band members practice together for performances at the Winter and Spring Concerts, while the Choir shares their talents at First Friday masses, the Christmas Nativity, and the Spring Concert. Students up to age 12 can develop their artistic skills through the Young Rembrandts program, currently being held on Monday afternoons. No matter what your child’s level of experience is, this activity works on engaging young artists, building their confidence, and having fun! Learn more at youngrembrandts.com.

Have a budding chef at home? Check out Cooking for a Cause, Mrs. Myers wildly popular club where students learn to make a variety of meals, snacks, and desserts and a portion of the goodies are shared with local kitchens serving those in need in our community. Science Explorers offers another opportunity for students to explore their curiosity beyond the classroom. This program helps demystify the world of science and inspire young learners with hands-on activities. The group currently meets on Wednesday afternoons. Learn more at scienceexplorers.com.

Boys in grades one through five are invited to join Malvern Cub Scout Pack 7 for regular den meetings, fun excursions, and other activities that inspire creativity, leadership, and teamwork. Contact Jon Hoffman for more information.
