On Friday, February 21, Mrs. Scelzo and her second-grade class gathered for a very special service project – making blankets to be given to children in local hospitals through Project Linus. With the help of several parent volunteers, the students carefully cut and tied soft fleece fabric to create 27 cozy blankets with bright, cheerful patterns. When they were finished, the children hugged their blanket, making a wish and sending a special prayer for the boy or girl who will receive it.

Thank you to Mrs. Scelzo for sharing this heart-warming tradition with her students. We’re sure the blankets will bring a smile to children who need it most.
