Halloween Festivities and Fun
SNS students, teachers and parents pulled out all the stops this year to celebrate Halloween.
During the week leading up to Halloween, students and teachers decorated their classroom doors with creative themes. Congratulations to the winners: the 3rd grade bat door, the 7th grade Ghostbusters door, and the Science Lab graveyard door.
Parent and Home & School Association volunteers decorated the dining hall and the parish activities center, planned classroom celebrations, assembled more than 200 candy bags for students, and captured pictures of the festivities.
For the annual Halloween Parade, students in grades 1-6 showed off their Halloween costumes. Pre K and Kindergarten students dressed down in Halloween colors.
In another annual SNS tradition, the 8th grade “Girls” vs. “Boys” field hockey game, the “Girls” clinched a hard-earned win with a score of 1-0. The 7th grade cheered both teams from sidelines and provided a great half-time show mid-court. Following the game, upper school students enjoyed the Fall tailgate.
As in years past, SNS collected leftover candy the week after Halloween to donate to the troops and local shelters.
